Scope

PHI Prescription is an enterprise web application that is focusing on doctors 
for in- and outpatient use to provide easy drug search and recipe administration and printouts.
It provides the user with information on drug use, doses, alternative information and therapy.

Providing hospitals and general practitioners with a web application
- to save time and costs by agile process management in the domain of drugs prescription
- to rapidly increase the prescription quality and control
- to reduce errors in drugs prescription and in the prescription understanding

PHI BPCO (CPOD)

Scope

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) is an application of the CPOD Gold2008 clinical protocol 
for the management (diagnosis and treatments) of CPOD patients in the chronic phase of the disease. 
PHI CPOD is made by CARIBEL a company of ITAL TBS Group, 
in collaboration with the Hospital of Brindisi (Puglia, Italy), Dept of Pneumology, 
playing the role of clinical validator, and Institute of Clinical Physiology (IFC), 
an institute of the italian National Research Council (CNR).

Objectives

The main goal is the continuous optimization of this particular clinical pathway.
The general objectives are:
• To implement, measure and optimize the management of home care plans for the chronic patient 
  in order to reduce hospital admissions.
• To integrate effectively the territory and the hospital for a smooth computerized support 
  to the continuity of care.
• To monitor the state of home patient's health and its responsiveness to treatments 
• To improve the emergency management.

Addressing Local Health and Hospitals, in particular services related to local activities 
(sometimes called "Primary Care") to manage home patients followed by the Departments of Pneumology.

PHI Pain Therapy

Scope

PHI Pain Therapy is an application aimed at monitoring patients in terminal illness who are receiving treatments to reduce and control pain.
Monitoring services are thought to be performed by a call center, 
calling daily the home patient and recording call by call the pain level values. 
These data are shared via a dedicated web portal with nurses for an immediate identification 
of those patients whose pain intensity has exceeded the given thresholds. 
The physician practitioner can adjust appropriately his prescription by modifying doses and frequency of the sedatives administration.
PHI Pain Therapy has been developed by CARIBEL a company of the ITAL TBS Group.

Objectives

The purpose of PHI Pain Therapy is to enable the effective management of a home monitoring service for patients undergoing treatment of pain.

Made for USL9 Treviso, 1st District (Veneto, Italy).
Oriented to "call centers" (private or public) devoted to monitoring patients with so-called "palliative care".

PHI IHE Consumer - Document Monitor

Scope

Phi-DocuMon is an application to search for documents and retrieve shared (registered) documents 
sourced by other institutions using IHE XDS transaction profiles.

Objectives

An important fact is that medical data is available for permitted persons at the right place and at the right time.
On the basis of medical cases cooperation in healthcare can be fundamentally improved and simplified.
In that wey not only costs are reduced and efficiency is increased, but also the patient safety and the avoidance of 
unnecessary repeated examination are considerably escalated.
Case relevant reports can be accessed easily and everywhere by authorized persons and imported into the local system, 
if there is an existing patient consent.

PHI Ortopedics - knee prothesis

Scope

PHI Ortopedska is a prototype developed for Ortopedska Bolnišnica Valdoltra – Hospital in Slovenia to manage the specific “Knee prosthesis” 
clinical protocol.

Objectives

- managing the whole set of procedures and treatments to be performed by the multidisciplinary team from check in and  admission to discharge 
- registering and confirming all the planned and booked activities
- reporting every complication and “unplanned activity” in order to check and monitor the whole treatment process
- managing the patient’s eligibility starting from scoring and testing modules  
- selecting the right workflow according to scores and protocols 
- suggesting and guiding the user to do exactly what is required at every single stage of the treatment (therapies, interventions, operations,
  examinations, consultations, procedures etc.)
- timing, checking in and out every single event 
- measuring the phases of the patient process
- improving and enhancing communication among different users and departments 
- mapping all the procedures performed by the users
- receiving feedback about complications and “unplanned activities” 
- analyzing the efficacy of the treatment 
- recalibrating the protocol in order to ensure a better healthcare offer

Scope

 PHI Hospital Breakdown Structure is an enterprise web application used to implement the whole physical and logical structure of an healthcare 
 organization at different levels, from a simple Ambulatory to complex multi-site Hospitals and public healthcare organizations.

- to provide healthcare organizations with a configurable solution useful to map their structure in an enterprise applcation

- to quickly adapt changes in the real-world structure to theri digital counterpart

PHI REAL

Scope

 PHI REAL is a web application used to collect clinical information about some cardiac surgeries and send them to a regional data base used for    
 clinical  trials. This data is used in a regional project (REAL - Registro Regionale Angioplastiche Coronariche dell’Emilia-Romagna [2]) to evaluate coronary 
 angioplastic surgeries.



Objectives

 The purpose is to guide the user (doctor or nurse) in collecting a large amount of data, using processes that depend on previously entered data,    
 so that consistency and completeness of the information entered is always ensured.
 Every doctor has a monitoring function that helps him controlling every cardiac surgery and allowing a quick access to detailed information.
 All gathered data is periodically extracted and sent to the regional project.

PHI Point of Care

Scope

PHI PoC (Point of Care) is a web application used to manage drugs 
prescription and administration for all the patients in a hospital ward.


Objectives

The purpose is to provide to the users a powerful tool which is be able to 
reduce medication error and adverse drug events, enforcing policies and 
promoting good practice.

We have designed two different dashboards:
 
- with the "Drug prescriber" interface, doctors can prescribe new therapies, 
  edit, suspend or cancel an existing prescription;

- with the "Drug administrator" interface, nurses have an easy-to-use tool which
  contains all the useful informations to administer a drugs to a patient. Nurses 
  can also record notes and details related to every administration. This interface 
  provide two different views, the first one focused on all patients in a ward, the 
  second one on a single patient.

PHI Radiology Portal

Objectives

PHI Radiology Portal is a module of "Immagini in rete" (Images on the web) project.
It offers the opportunity to view the radiological images and reports (medical history)
by health professionals, regardless of where and when these data were produced.

Objectives

Query the XDS registry module for retrieving data in it;
Retrieve data from the XDS repository module;
Allow rendering PACS' images at low resolution on the web interface;
Allow viewing high resolution images by a Radiology Work Station;
Create and manage requests for second opinion and consultation;
Provide the necessary print service and statistics;
Centralize the log messages to ensure the traceability of access and
operations.

PHI Lymphology

Objectives

The module provides the possibility for the medical and nursing staff to gain easily a quick overview over the course of 
the disease of the lymphatic system. It is started from PATIDOK, the hospital information system from PCS, with patient 
and encounter data which are shown in the Patient Banner. When the module is closed, the entered data are send back 
to PATIDOK.
